1 July

Summer time – and we hope the livin’ is easy for at least most of you. We know it isn’t for all. The recession is hurting generally and for individuals who have lost jobs living must be very hard indeed.

We hope the sunshine will help a little. So far it has been a very good year with lots of sun, as the solar panels demonstrate, and at least adequate rain, as the weeds tell us.

The Nailsworth news team is enjoying a holiday and we plan to come back refreshed and full of enthusiasm in mid August ready to provide you with a great September issue.

Stop Press!

There will be a small ceremony to 'unveil' the fountain at 10am on Saturday 25 July.

The Mayor will speak, followed by John Hudson as Chairman of the District Council. Finally Mrs. Doreen Biddle who was born and has lived in Nailsworth all her life - chosen as one of our oldest residents - will be invited to unveil the plaque.
